Someone metioned to me over the weekend about wedding websites so I have been looking into www.gettingmarried.com and have a few questions for anyone who had used one.
Do you include the address on the invite or do you put it on a seperate card?
Did your guests use it/find it useful?
Did you find it useful?
Do you have any advice?
We are providing transport from the ceremony to the reception and we were going to put a card in with the invites letting the guests know this and also ask if they would let us know if they require it. I was also going to put in an RSVP card (with a section for the transport requirements) and a SAE. I'm thinking if we used a website we would not need to include the RSVP and SAE and could possibly merge the website and transport info into one card.
The wedding is ages away but I thought I could slowly draw together a half decent website which will hopefully include everything the guests would need to know or find helpful.
Any thoughts/advice?

I used gettingmarried and used that for pretty much everything. I sent people a link to the site long before any invitations went out - I never did save the dates at all.
We also provided transport and all the details for that were included on the site, along with the timings for the day and evening, deatils of hotels in the area, directions for driving for those who didn't use the coach (the website does that for you when you put addresses in)
When we did send invitations out we re-gave the link to the website and offered the option of replying through the website or to our home address - we didn't include RSVP cards or SAEs.
Occasionally we sent e-mails out reminding people to check the site for details and in a couple of cases to chase for replies but I loved using the site and was so much easier than paper!!0 -
Hi,
We are using the Getting Married website & it's been great. As we are marrying in Lindos it's been really helpful as we are able to put all info on about the place & hotel etc so people can get a feel for the place. I sent the web address out with our STD's early on to give people plenty of notice. We have also put loads of info on what's happening on the day & where people need to meet. The travern has given us 5 meal options for people to choose so I need to pre order it, so will be putting all the menu options on later as you can turn it into a spreadsheet & download it which will be great! I think nearly all our guests have been on & they love it & have enjoyed reading all the info. You can ask questions to your guests & I think it would be a good way of coordinating if people need your transport too.
The wedding party profile is also good, it's a bit of fun but many have said they are glad they know what the BM looks like etc for if they need help on the day. It's easy to set up once you get going, I love doing stuff on it.Married the man of my dreams - 10th September 2012, St Paul's Bay Lindos :jIt was amazing.
