DCA sent me a direct debit form!

Hi,
I'm starting a payment plan with my 2 creditors, both with 2 different DCAs. I sent identical letters to both of them with my SoA, offering token payments. DCA 1 has 'replied' sending me a direct debit form instead of a standing order form. I want standing order, as I read they can take any amount using direct debit.
I want to ring them on the phone just to say where's my standing order form I asked for, but I'm worried by their bullying tactics. I can do a scan of the form, it has a amount to pay and weekly, fortnightly, monthly etc.
What to do?

A DCA wouldn't "set up" a standing order, it's something you do yourself. You need their bank details to do it, then you take them to your bank (or use online banking) and set up a payment to them.
On the back of any of the letters they have sent you, is there a section with their bank details in? If so, use those and any reference that links you to the payment to set up an SO.
I wouldn't be setting up a DD with a DCA. You could pop their DD in an envelope with a covering letter stating you need their bank details to be able to set up a SO.0 -
As suggested, ask for a standing order form.
Don't send them a cheque, as it will have your account details on and they may try and setup a DD anyhow (although illegal).
In theory, you would be protected by the DD guarantee, but grief you really don't want to have to deal with.
Good luck
