SSP and Pay adjustment help

Hi

I have been off work for a few months now and just need a bit of advice.
Last month i only got £27 due to a pay adjustment taking all my ssp due to a pay error the month before but this month i got the following on my wage slip

pay adj -200.41
ssp 424.32

is this pay adjustment something to do with the ssp as im confused as to why i have been adjusted again

any help would be much appreciated

You need to ask the employer - we don't know why your pay is being adjusted.

    Indeed.

But to try and help, have you been getting company sick pay (over and above SSP) for some or all of the time you have been off?

If so then you need to check to see if / when this is / was due to run out. What MAY have happened is that they continued to pay this for longer than your contract requires and they have now claimed the overpayment back.

First step is to ask for a detailed breakdown then check with your contract and staff handbook that you have received everything you are entitled to get.

Indeed. But since there could be an entire range of reason why there may or may not have been an overpayment, isn't this just a long winded way of saying you need to ask the employer because we don't know why the pay is being adjusted?
