M&S sell some celebration cakes in store- I have seen large white round ones that could be tiered as well as different fun shapes etc. What kind of cake are you looking for?

Have you asked M+S about order times? They may be able to get something in by the end of the week, or as Tiara said, they sell some cakes off the shelf too. Hope you get something x

I did phone M&S this morning and their not shifting from their 7 day delivery.

Only problem I have is I live in Hampshire, flying up to Newcastle Wednesday night.

I think I'm going to have to see if my Brother and his girlfriend can pop into M&S and pick up a cake that we can decorate.

  • I've had M&S and tesco fruit cakes and both were really good. All iced nicely etc so pop into tesco and see if they have any instore.
  • Some independant bakeries and cake shops might be able to do something for you. Our sons cake was quite detailed and only took 3-4 days

Good luck. As others have suggested though a nice tiered cake from M&S off the shelf with a fancy topper would look wonderful too.

Do a post on the Homemade Cakes Thread in this forum. Someone in that area might be able to make you one for then.
