Don't You Hate it when ....

It really annoys me when they saying "good size garden " or "good size bedrooms " .
You get there and you find the garden is just a patch of grass or the good size bedroom is a box room. When I questioned the agent he answered back saying is "good size " in comparison with other similar properties .
Don't you love it ?0 -

House asking prices should be higher than the strike in price at which a deal can be struck, in order for the seller to get market value.
It really is no big deal, nothing to see, move along folks.
Why are you the self-appointed arbitrator of what is and isn't a "big deal"?
I knew I recognised you from your sanctimonious attitude. Just admit you've got a vested interest in keeping prices artificially high. That really would be a big deal."The only man who makes money from a gold rush is the one selling the shovels..."0 -
Thanks to Sarah Beeny's/Kevin McCloud's/Kirsty Allsopp's overuse of it, I've developed an irrational hatred of the word "contemporary".0

If you want vomit-inducing-sickly descriptions just go along to The Bungalow Centre in Bournemouth and read their descriptions!!
One of the Bungalows has a "Superb, newly fitted Electric Shower" - WHAT? A £50 Shower deserves a mention? Wonder what the rest of it's like then!Bringing Happiness where there is Gloom!0 -

I'm not surprised; in my dictionary that reads: 'ex-council.'0 -
A very nice house round our way had "Offers before 18th November 2011"
I note that it is still for sale ... funny that!?Bringing Happiness where there is Gloom!0 -
A 2 bed (well, classed as a 3-bed, but it's 5ft, so you can't actually fit a bed in there) house near us in autumn had the writing "Autumn sale ! This month only ! £2500 cashback !". The property is still for sale, but the cashback has been removed and the sale price reduced by £2500. Guess it didn't work out for them.0

My personal favourite is in Victorian houses " Eaves Cupboard "
Who was Eve and why did she live in a cupboard? :rotfl:Stop! Think. Read the small print. Trust nothing and assume that it is your responsibility. That way it rarely goes wrong.
Actively hunting down the person who invented the imaginary tenure, "share freehold"; if you can show me one I will produce my daughter's unicorn0
