Baking/Muffin Tins

Hi,
Can anyone recommend a brand of baking tray and/or muffin and bun tin?
I've just bought some of the Robert Dyas BOGOF trays, but after 1 use the non stick lining has come off.
I made yorkshires at the weekend and all stuck to my tins, so I want to make sure I have good tins in for Christmas.
I've been told catering/professional light coloured tins are the best but wouldn't know where to get them from.
Thanks,
Jo

What fat did you use? Was it smoking before you put the batter in? I find that if I don't use lard and have it smoking then mine stick as well.
I have just invested in the silicone ones for my cakes, I wonder if they do something similar for yorkies?BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
Veg oil and it was smoking. I've used the same tins for ages and never any problems. I've got silicon ones, but not used yet and didn't think they would like hot oil in them.0

Silicone muffin 'tins' are brilliant for baking - definitely not for Yorkshires. There are people who use them - no oil - but I've tried it, they're rubbish!
If you've only recently bought them, I'd be tempted to take the tins back.0 -
See if you can find silicone trays which have a metal supporting piece (it's usually a sheet with holes in that the silicone muffin parts slot into), brilliant non-stick and easy to clean and the metal stops the silicone flopping around making funny shapes and spills.Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0
