Arrangement with Aqua credit card

Hello, brand new and need advice please, a few years ago I took out an Aqua credit card its something to do with Halifax and SAV credit. I was using the account well, then circumstances changed, my wife left this was mainly due to my illness.I have serious mental health problems and I just lose control.
I contacted Aqua, they asked me for proof that I had a psychiatrist and my cpn also sent a letter.
I was assigned a case worker and she was very approchable and said for 12 months all interest would be stopped and all charges.
Roll on 12 months, they have changed the case worker and I found him not too good to talk to. He said they would start adding interest, not the full rate.
Yesterday I received my statement and on there is 2x 19.65 interest, so my payment is £47 so it will mean I'll only be paying off about £7. I find it difficult phoning Aqua, not too good at the moment. Do you think it best to tell them to send it to a debt agency, the way I feel if they put a default on, not bothered anymore.
Any advice please? Also they keep changing my cpn they give me a depot injection every 2 weeks, so have no help there to be honest.

Hi, I am currently dealing with Aqua's in house collectors (Albion) and to be honest have found them quite easy to talk to.
Granted I milked up my total o/s debt and have managed to get them to reduce the interest to 1% a month. They did ask for an SOA and as I was fiddling the figure I just gave it to them anyway. They have reduced the interest and stopped charges for a minimum of 6 months. Granted when they call me in 6 months I will just tell them my circumstances haven't changed. But I am hoping to have them clear within that time anyway.
Some are better than others, but you will get thereDebt free as of 7.20am on 31st December 2012.
Wow. Feels great :j :beer:0 -
I wouldn't talk to them on the phone ever. I would write them a letter and set out your circumstances and then either tell them you can't afford anymore, or tell them you can afford to increase your repayment to x per month. I'd also ask them to consider freezing interest & charges on the account. You can find template letters on national debtline website to help.
Are you sure they haven't issued a default on already? if they freeze interest for a year it would be usual to mark the account as defaulted and if you want them to freeze the interest for longer and a default hasn't been issued then its likely it will be.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
