I'd look on the Man U website. Alternatively phone the shop and ask if they could suggest something out of the ordinary. They're pretty helpful in the superstore. Have you looked on ebay?0

I'm going up the trafford to see United tonight (gloat) i'll look around see whats good. The megastore is amazing, I want everything thats in there (and i'm 25, but act like a 12 year old when in there) so i'll post or PM you my findings. If its a serious relationship, and you have a few bob lying around, you could buy him the manchester United opus! Its a snatch at around £3000 but is a detailed history of the club. If you do buy one, get me one as well for the tip

Theres a few good things on ebay if you find a trusted seller, but he may be growing out of the 'signed posters on bedroom walls' phase, but theres plenty of other memorabilia on there too, some of it probably genuine!

Dont they do a tour round the ground or something?0
-
Yeah they do, but imagine going around the ground for a tour, then not getting to watch a match? Its so hard to come by match tickets so simply a tour might be a bit of a let down when the other half says they cant provide tickets! Theres a museum tour as well but nothing compares to match day atmosphere!
Probably better off getting a souvenier and watching the match in a pub with mates

Tickets for united have never been easier to get. They had 6000 non renewing season tickets holders this year, I assume they went to people on the waiting lists therfor there are 6000 people no longer chaseing the seats that are available.
Write to the club and see if they can do anything for you, the totally unbiased ticket alocation system normally gives them to fans who will travel and spend money in the club shops. My dad works on the turnstiles and the vast majority of those going in are carrying a bag from the club shop.0 -

Mine was one of them. The renewel price of £665 (north stand middle tier)and a further 12% increase next year just makes it too dear for me anymore.0 -
much appreciate everyones help.hes been on the tour lol and he has a season ticket.lol!!
the signed pic is a good idea too only i dont know who to trust.about 2 years ago i got him one but was a lot of faff on and lost my money and no item.so was a bit unsure of going down tht road.
ive thought of another present now.hes got his driving lesson next week so i thought about a personalised reg plate.just didnt realise how expensive these damn things were.does anyone know a good place to get them from but arent too extortionate!
thanks again0 -
Private plates can be expensive, I wouldnt buy one until he has a car to fit it on. My sister wants one JE55 plates start at £2300 the more like a word they are the higher to price. She isnt buying on until she gets her new car in september as you cant but a 55 plate on a sep 2003 car.
Check out the DVLA site for whats available here some people use their initials but they really only mean anything to the people who know their name. years of birth football team initials but for scumchester united I would expect to pay a small fortune.
You could try ebay you may be luck and find the one no one wants. there are a few smallish admin fees to pay when transfering private plates etc.0 -
just want to say thanks to all the replies.i managed to get one for £250 and im very happy!just hope my bf is!!0
