    Well done!

The site does look familiar, but the search I did only found one recent comp

I am pretty sure there was a comp for there, but can't find it - check out the T&C's in the new comp there is something about a 'fully refundable booking fee'

I'm sure someone else will remember!

It's more of a marketing ploy that a win tbh. You will get what they say but they will want to hard sell you to buy copies of the photos and it says they include one on CD - they'll probably put your worst one on so you want to buy the others. lol

This is from what I've heard of those sort of prizes in the past, I don't know the particular company and haven't been on one myself.

Well done, you could always ring them and see what they say but it does sound like a win to me

  • Hi keedie, I hope that it's genuine however would urge you to read through all the T&C small print that will come though after you call. On that note, I notice it's a 0870 number which is costly to ring froma mobile.

Also I see on their website, they state:

    "image 1st® Photoshoot Packages
A fully refundable booking deposit of £25 is required at the time of booking for all invitation vouchers. This is to secure your appointment at image 1st®

All dates and times are subject to availability.
72 hours notice is required to alter a booking and you may reschedule once only, otherwise you will forfeit your booking deposit and you will have to pay a re-booking fee of £25.
Please note that you will forfeit your booking deposit if you are over 15 minutes late on the day of your appointment."

There will inevitably be a hard sale as Strepsy says, and is does work in sufficient cases to be a useful marketing ploy.

btw, a quick companies house search confirms they are an active registered limited company which was incorporated (set up) 9 months ago - May 2006 so fairly new.

Sorry to disapoint you but this is a scam. No reasonable company would make you pay £25 to get a prize. As others have said, once you've had your photos, you will face a hard sell by them. Soz.

One of my friends one something similar to this. She travelled to London at her own expense with her one year old son and received a makeover and had loads of photographs taken. They offered her the free one but then left her in a dark room with a projector to show the remaining photos on a large screen. She came out £300 poorer for a photo CD and when her familiy wanted reprints she had to contact the company for a copyright form/agreement. I have to say its dodgy
Trying to earn £2015 in 2015. Slightly early start ;). £175.88 today.
