Derek bump/fast cash company?

Hi

Has anyone heard of Derek Bump or fast cash as he contacted me through Gumtree .He really claims hes genuine and to cut a long story short i said i would contact consumer affairs and the police about him as i am in process of getting my money back from Western Union but i really hoped this guy is genuine but im having doubts ,im supposed to contact him tomorrow.
he basically said he could help me ,he said hes not a con and he would have picked up the money from Western and not contacted me again if that was the case but he said his company is inundated with work at the moment and his Nigeria office would help me and hes very sorry for the inconvenience ,i do have all the details he gave me but i just need some advice.
Can anyone help?,i know it seems obvious what to do but i really hoped this guy is genuine.

Thanks for advice from anyone.

I thought at first this was a wind up post, but looking at your other posts over the last couple of years, it seems you have a habit of falling for this.

Don't give him (or anyone else) any more money. Report it to the police if you like but I can't see you have any hope of getting your money back. Just learn from it in future to avoid losing any more.

The only reason he is trying to be "nice" to you is to rip you off for even more money. Parasites.

Sounds like a classic 419 scam. Sorry OP. Drop 'em like a scalding potato before they get more money out of you.

Donna, ZX81 is right about this.

Just because someone tells you they are genuine and not a con does not mean they are telling the truth. It's just what con men do.

I am worried from your previous posts that you will fall for the lies so please go to the Citizens Advice Bureau and speak to someone face to face. Hopefully they will be able to convince you that these people are going to steal your money. You must stay away from them and refuse to speak to them in future.

Ask the Citizens Advice Bureau to tell you if there is any other help available which you might not know about.

donna how much have they had from you....you are being double scammed..
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.
  • Thank you for all your comments people ,yeah ive been a fool but lucky i didnt lose much at all but i know what i have to do ,the cheeky sod even told me to contact the police if i wanted to as he said he would be in clear ,obviously playing me .i just wish there were HONEST people out there willing to help .

In that case, what could possibly go wrong?

I'm sure there is a genuine reason Donna, maybe if you send him some more money it will help you get a resolution.

Nobody is as daft as you make out Donna, I second the Troll motion.
