Cheap candles?

Hi all,
Does anyone know a good source for candles? (Not tea lights). I like burning candles in the evening, but its costs £1 per candle, and each candle last around 4 hours. So its costing me around £1 per day in candles!

I know the longer the 'burn time' the more expensive it gets, but can anyone recommend a cheap supplier of candles? I thought charity shops would be good - but the candles (and most other items!) are just as expensive as normal shops.
Thanks

At £1 for a candle I'd say you didn't do too bad! I have seen the Glade candels -not sure on burn time, perhaps 10 hours? is on offer, 3 for £4 in Tescos, some of the other brands (airwick and etc) are £3.50 each.

I love candles also, it would seem my nose is more then aware of this and seems drawn to those costing £40+ which is unfortunate...nevagonnahappen! I have instead bought an oil burner and used tea lights about £3 for 24 or so and burns for a few hours and scent remains around for longer) I have 3 oils bought for £5 from the Bodyshop and I'm in no doubt this is the higher priced side of the market, you could get them cheaper elsewhere in markets and non branded stores. Things like clove, orange, cranberry, musks and woody scents would be good this time of the year.

Otherwise I'd recommend waiting it out a month and shopping in the sales where many things will be reduced. New Years sales better then the Christmas day ones with things like candles IMO though never say never, keep your eyes out beforehand, especially mid December with things like advent candles in time for next year.

Ikea have quite a big selection of candes. This range looks like it might be suitable for you - burn time from five hours to ten hours, depending on the particular candle, and cheap as chips.
