Definitely start with the OD - the interest is more than double that of the loan.

Hi
The overdraft is the highest interest so you should tackle this one first.
What is the limit on your Virgin Card? Is there enough to put the overdraft on this card? they allow Super Balance Transfers so you could do thisMFW 2025 #50: £1989.73/£600007/03/25: Mortgage: £67,000.00

Hello, and thanks for posting, I think you are doing incredibly. I was a single mum to one for 4 years, it was so hard, not least financially.
Re: the nits, DD has had them plenty of times in the 5 years she's been at school. I have tried every single treatment on the market. What works best is shed loads of conditioner - I get the cheapest I can - and then combing through the hair. The best comb is the Nitty Gritty, it has spirals to help take the eggs off too. You need to do this every other day for a week or two (or until you don't see any nits). Believe me, the treatments really don't work! The comb was about a tenner from boots, has a money back guarantee and I got it free with my points. I have heard good things about tea tree too so might start washing DD's hair with this on normal wash days.
One other thing I wish I did was shop ex-OH to the CSA the day we split up. I didn't want to upset him - I had hoped we could sort it out between us, and at this time I was homeless and studying so could really have done with the money! Waited over 2 years, and he never gave me a penny. Called them for advice (didn't want them to chase him), and they started chasing him. Now get £143 a month, not a massive amount, but better than the nothing I got before. I couldn't claim back the unpaid amounts - but he has not missed a payment in the last 5 years now! And it means we don't ever have to even talk about money when we see each other.Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

hey museumworker,
This is something I am really torn about, i have decided to go down the route of as long as he pays his share on the kids swimming lessons i am going to leave him alone, he has moved out of the house and doesnt want to make any claim on the house ( so he says).
With the help of this website i am going to to budget as much as I can and hopefully get myself to a place where by I am self sufficient.
bad news for today is that i didnt keep to my nsd, made carrot and lentil soup but bought a baguette for £1.65 ( yes it was a rip off but only shop open on the way to school grrr!!!)HSBC loan £11,700 @ 7.9%
