Hi,
JUst the standard overpayment this month of £161.01. All the spare cash is going on the little one at the moment and I am trying to work out exactly what we havce savings wise so I can confirm how long I can stay off work.....so I guess this will probably be the last overpayment for this year sadly
However I am about to pay a debt of over £6,600 off so not all bad - just not off the mortgage. It does however save me outgoings of £277,.77 per month, which means a buigger chunk to throw at the mortgage when I do go back t work, so a better year next year methinks
See you next year!!!!0 -
Hello everyone,
I echo your thoughts ecoelle, it will be great to write that post!
Excellent OP froddington, all updated for you.
I've updated your lovely OP wrigleydl. I think paying off some £9,000 of debt in one year counts as a massive success and as you've pointed out will save you a lot of money each month going forward. And the advice is always to pay off more expensive debts before the mortgage anyway. Throw in the production of your beautful little one and it's a hugely successful year all around. Look forward to seeing you in 2013.
From the googledoc, congratulations jaywhoopee for passing the milestone of having less mortgage outstanding now than for your first house, brilliant! Your OP is noted and target amended as requested.
May see you later,
