119 Overpaid £510 today - although sort of by mistake.

Started my new job, which I'm loving and accepted the pay cut but for some reason paid £1419 in tax this month, :eek:compared with about £660 in my last job. Turns out I have paid tax at 40% on a D0 tax code.

So, my pay packet is about £800 short and now I have to wait for my employers to pay me back.
If I had realised I would have waited to do the overpayment but it goes out on standing order so here's hoping it gets sorted quickly!

No update from me but, I just realised this is the month that my (and other peoples') interest rate has gone up so overpayments will be getting harder

So I've changed my mind from when I said this should be a good month ... higher interest plus a few big expenses this month means it'll be the usual struggle :o

...one day it'll get easier....maybe

0.25% which isn't as bad as it could be. My overpayments will more than cover the difference but it feels like an extra chunk of my money being taken off me ... the joys of owning a house :)
