For my just turned 12 yr old I have got tickets to see 2 of his favourite bands. He also likes activity treats and has discovered the snow centre this year. Is there anything he likes to do that you might get groupon vouchers for? Mountain boarding, wind surfing, sailing, zorbing, horse riding, go karting, ski/snowboarding lessons etc.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I am quite keen on the driving lessons, didn't know you could get them for them so young!
He does Taekwondo and Gymnastics but has also done Kayaking / canoeing and for his birthday recently we took him and 5 of his friends paintballing (super expensive). He got Go Karting vouchers two years ago and we are just waiting on him being tall enough to do the indoor climbing centre, he is a bit of a daredevil.

I appreciate all the suggestions though.:)

  • This thread is excellent, was wondering what to get for my Nephew. I bought a giant gingerbread man from John Lewis for him as a small gift.
  • Was that a toy Gingerbread man or one that you can eat?

Have you considered a magazine subcription, lots out their National Geographic Kids, Comic book heros or my grankids favourite Aquila Magazine.

Makes a great alternative and they get a new "present" each month!

Just to say thank you for this thread and the suggestions so far. It has helped me tremendously - I too have an 11 year old son (y7) who doesn't like clothes and is also an only child.

I now have a list of possibilities....... So thank you again

A nice filler is 20?. They are just £4.99 in TRU at the moment & a great little quiz/puzzle. My children have them & are amazed at how often the 'computer' guesses their answers.
Good luck as our children are also very fortunate so it can be quite a dilemma. Have you asked him to make a list at all?

Thank you - what a good idea! Needed a little something for my 9 yr old nephew & clicked on this thread for inspiration; that's perfect. My daughter used to have one & we all loved it, its really very clever.

    Another tick!
