Is anyone else worried their OH won't like their dress?!
I know it's silly but I will be upset if he doesn't like it!

I haven't bought mine yet, but I do worry my OH won't like what I pick! I try getting his opinion without being obvious, but it never works! Been smoke free for 4 years!! :beer:0

Surely if you know him enough to marry him you should know whether he will like it or not.
If he doesnt like it and actually is insensitive enough to say so I would question marrying a man who could be so insensitive.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
It's not the dress he'll be looking at, but you! I can guarantee he will think you look absolutely gorgeous.0

He'll love it cos his bride is in it!! Even if it isn't what he would pick for you, he'll only see you walking down the aisle to marry him so he'll adore what you're wearing (and most 'boys' will just see it as a white / ivory / cream etc dress and that'd be it...

Becca, I kinda go through bouts of worry too!
I do try and get his opinion on dresses from Don't Tell the Bride and the ones I hate, he dislikes.
I do however know the type of dress he'd pick for me and the only things it has in common with my dress is that it's a wedding dress and it's long but I don't actually care!
The thing is, what he'd pick for you wouldn't necessarily be "the one" and we all know that seeing something we like and trying on the the same item can lead to different responses.
He might dislike the dress off, but put it on you, the person he loves with all his heart, and his response is going to be entirely different!
I don't know if you remember the bride on DTtB who wanted a blingy dress and he got her a non-blingy dress? He hated bling and she went and blinged it up, and do you know what? He thought she looked beautiful
Don't worry

My OH doesn't really share the same taste in many of my clothes. Does it stop me buying them? not at all. WOuld he want me to stop buying them? nope.
I have to say, I fell in love with my dress (still looking for it cheaper elsewhere :rotfl:) and I didn't once think 'I wonder if OH will like it too'.
There's no way on our wedding day he would say anything, I just know he wouldn't. Maybe afterwards, and in a cheeky 'it's not what I would have picked way' but I don't worry about it.Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -
See I know my OH won't either, it's just me picking something else to be worried about!! Haha. I know he'll like it on me, it's just we were watching DTTB yesterday and he said "eww that dress is gross, it's way too lacy". Mine is lace!!!!!
I just need to remember why I chose it, I brought it 9 months ago and have only seen it once since so think it's probably normal to get the wobbles!
Thanks for all the reassurance xxFirst baby due 3/3/14 - Team Yellow! Our little girl born 25/2/14

Not at all! OH will love whatever I choose, he's told me that I will make any dress look beautiful (awwwwwwww).
I'm going to pick what *I* like, not what I think he'll like!!!
But I know that he hates all the stuff that I hate (big, princessy, blingy dresses, OTT accessories, tiaras etc) so I should be on safe ground! We have quite similar tastes and he always tells me that I'm very stylish, bless him.
Men don't get as fussed about wedding dresses as we do, don't worry xx7 Feb 2012: 10st7lbs
