contacting creditors

I have started a dmp with cccs
they contacted me just to go over things to make sure i can afford repayments/income. 1st payment is on 1st january
i also sent letters and token payments to my creditors (with the letter provided by cccs).
today i got a letter from tsb thanking my for a token payment, and also thanking me of letting them know that i am having financial difficulties.
the letter suggests that i contact their specialist team to talk, and to make sure I have details of income and expenditure.
do i really need to ring them up, or leave it with cccs to sort things out (SOA and payment offer)?
i wish the other creditors would acnknowledge my difficulties.
also, how long does it usually take to close a bank account with tsb?
I sent them a letter approx 10 days ago, but still heard nothing. if i haven't heard anything by the middle of next week, i think i'll give them a bell (giving them 2 weeks)
thanks

Leave everything upto CCCS.
I have a DMP with PayPlan and while I was waiting for my offers to be accepted I was still being contacted by my creditors who I told that PayPlan was dealing with it all - which they accepted.
As for closing the bank account, I dont know.0
