Being tortured by a collection agency for £8

I got behind on my eBay fees and it got passed to a collection agency, I paid eBay the full amount of £47, the next day this collection agency got involved saying I owe then £8 because it got passed to them, Well it never got passed to them in my time, it was only after I had paid that they got involved, I appreciate its only £8 but its the principal of the thing, they never actually recovered anything. Can I tell them in the nicest possible way to go and boil their head? They are called Newman collection agency

Just pay it. Hang the damned principal.0

You got behind with your fees - so you should pay it.
Does not matter if you had paid by the time they got involved - the wheels will have been set in motion.
Not worth the hassel for £8.
p.s what torture methods are they using - most are illegal in this country, unless MI5 are involved.0 -
were you aware that if unpaid it would be passed to a collection agency? If not, I would be inclined to dispute it. Like you said they hadnt actually done any work yet, you didnt know they were involved. They will obviously be peed because they want their fee but no ones gonna take action against you for £8, surely? Its not worth their time and money! Dont ust leave it though, dispute it in writing. Hopefully they will waiver it.mummy to my beautiful lil man born August 20110

How long did you leave it before you paid? only asking as my ebay fees got returned by the bank while I was away so it was over 10 days before I knew - I paid a little off it every week - by doing this they didn't involve a collection agency but they did threaten - but i called them to let them know I'd pay a little each week and they were fine with that - know that doesn't solve your fee but if it happens again try that tack and I'm sure those fees will be avoided0

Sorry but for £8 - not worth the hassle!

don't pay. they have not recovered the money for their client. why should you pay it. it does not matter what the amount you don't owe it. enjoy a little bit of debt collector baiting. if they phone just refuse to answear there security questions. if they post stuff return to sender. they will drop it very quickly.0

I wouldnt pay it, they wont do zip all.Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
