What have you already got in the storecupboard/freezer/fridge?

    What's your budget?

    Ok.

What does everyone like to eat?

    What is your budget?

When you say beans - so you mean 1 tin of baked beans, or borlotti? Or 10 tins? Or a bag of dried beans?

    Ditto pasta shells.

Ditto spaghetti - tinned spaghetti, one tin or 20 - or do you mean a dried spaghetti?

Is that ALL you have in your whole house to eat?
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.

If you can get your hands on some cheap meat, you can do chili con carne, spag bol, stir fry with veg and noodles. Um...beans on toast? Some kind of pasta bake maybe?

id dig out the slow cooker on a couple of nights in my case nearly every night lol

    spag bol
    stew
    curry
    jacket spuds and salad
chilli from any left over spag bol and add more to it to make enough
A Biriyani can go far as its mainly rice and goes on forever lol

i think you can even do spuds in a sc??
but it will help you concentrate on other things having it cooking itself while you tend to your guests............id be lost without mine good luck x

bulk all of this with pulses etc breadcrumbs anything to make it go futher.......my trick in a curry is i add bits of potatoe, or make a side of bombay pot from scratch very easy and naan which i cut in half for each person.
The spag bol i add peppers and then left overs turned into chilli i bulk it out with cubed veg like carrots, beans, baked beans.
A stew similar to the chilli but all kinds of veg for my beef or any meat u choose to go futher and make it really hearty by adding a broth mix.
Trying to make big cut backs!!!

How much is it this year for a sack of potatoes?
Once bought you can use them cheaply for may meal accompanyments. Jackets, chips, wedges, mash, roast.
