Would CSA be involved in this scenario?

My ex is the NRP to my 10 and 13 year old children, and hasn't paid anything towards their upkeep - CSA were involved 4 times but he lied each time and got out of paying anything.
I am now married - DH hasn't been given PR nor does NRP have PR.
My DH will be applying for benefits in another month once he graduates from University, and will obviously declare that he's married and is step-parent to my children.
A friend told me a few years ago when she applied for benefits that she had to give her ex's details and that CSA chased him for money which was used as a contribution to her benefit money...does this still happen?
Will this happen in our case even though it is my DH who is applying?
Also, if CSA do have to get involved can we tell them that we don't any want them to?
Thanks in advance.

No longer happens. Child maintenance no longer affects your benefits.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.
