threading-how long should it last?

I started having my eyebrows threaded in June, I initially did both threading and plucking, but have been good and have only had them threaded for the last 4-5 times.

However-its 3.5 weeks since I last had them done-and they are SO grown back, they started to look a bit rubbish from 2 weeks tbh, but I haven't had a chance to get into her, and don't really want to be forking out £8-10 every 2 weeks. With time will it last longer? or have I just got super fast growing hair?

Thanks :)

I've been having mine done for about a year...everyone said that with time it would grow back, so I kept going back. Last time I spoke to her and she said in fact it does need doing every 2 weeks, but with time it'll get faster and less painful. That seems to be the truth...it is fortnightly.

I get mine done every two weeks - sometimes stretch to three but by then i can begin to see regrowth.

I've been having my brows threaded for about three years now.

I could do with mine being done every 2/3 weeks but stretch it to 4 as its expensive where I live, the time before they really need doing has improved though but not by much, I ve been going for about a year:)
Thank you for this site Martin

I always get mine waxed. I know this is a different technique, but why would you pick one way rather than the other and do they both last same amount of time? I pay a fiver for waxing.
  • mine lasts about 3 weeks, after that it really needs done and drives me insane. i try not to pluck the annoying hairs out and am finding that it is lasting longer each time.
  • a couple weeks seems to be standard for both waxing and threading. i have had both done (no where in my town does threading) and i pluck inbetween. its too expensive to get done every couple of weeks.
  • can you learn to do it yourself? tutorial

  • Thanks everyone, looks like I'll just have to get them done every 2-3 weeks. It's 3.5 weeks at the moment-and they are BAD! I'm not sure diy is the way to go for me, but will have a look, was never very good at shaping them myself, but could try the upper lip....

you dont need to shape them you just follow whats already there. they have been shaped already. just get the worst hairs out with tweezers and you can easily stretch it till 4, 5 or even 6 weeks!
  • ok after watching this last night (I didn't even know what threading was until I googled it!) I have just spent the last 1/2 hr threading my eyebrows & am pretty impressed with the results. Best my brows have looked for ages (I am a lazy mare by nature!) I would encourage you to give it a go even if it is just tidying up the scraggily hairs in between going and having it done at the shop
