I am looking for a recipe that i used a few times from an old asda mag, prior to 'walmart'.
The recipe was for christmas ice cream containing mixed fruit, marshmallows and cocoa powder.
All the family remember it, but i have lost the recipe.

I can't help with the actual recipe you're after but, if you don't find it, here is an excellent alternative. I lived in Australia for 12 years and this was our 'Christmas Cake' ...
2 cups mixed dried fruits
100g glace pineapple, chopped
100g glace cherries, chopped
50g glace ginger, chopped
finely grated zest of 2 oranges
3/4 cup of chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
2 tablespoons of brandy
2 tablespoons of Grand Marnier
- Mix all those ingredients together.
Then mix in to the above a 4 litre carton of softened bought vanilla ice cream.
Line an extra large bowl with clingfilm. Spoon in the mixture and cover with more clingfilm. Place into freezer at least overnight. When required, remove top piece of clingfilm and invert over a serving plate, wrap a hot tea towel around the bowl to help it come out.
Serve with berries which have been tossed in Grand Marnier and dust with icing sugar.
This is seriously good.0 -

Ooh now you have me thinking of an old asda recipe for a flapjack style slice with strawberrys in the middle. Delicious. Any one got the recipe please?Nothing Changes if Nothing Changes0
