Hi all, I am new to this site,just thought I would share something with you about Mackenzie Hall.
For months now we have been getting letters from this company addressed to someone with the same surname as me addressed to my home address,even though this person has never lived here and is not known here.
At first i wrote on the letters "Not Known at this address".the letters kept coming.then,stupidly, i just threw them in the bin.
when a load more letters arrived i had just about had enough.so i contacted the Information Commissioners Office an explained what was happening and what actions i had taken previously.
they told me to email Mackenzie Hall and inform them that the person they had addressed the letter to was not known and had never lived at my address,even though they have the same surname and under data protection law,i am not obliged to provide any of my personal details to Mackenzie Hall, i did however open one of the letters so that i could provide a reference number,so that this company could use that to find & remove my details.
I also stated in my email that just because they have a matching surname on their files,they have no right to contact me,after all, its a well known fact that the royal families surname is Windsor,so if they wanted to contact Barbara Windsor,would they then constantly write to Buckingham Palace!!.

That was quick, I only sent an email to them at 11:15,26/11/11 and got a reply at 11:50 same date.they are not going to contact me again!!. VICTORY0
