Call your mortgage company and be open and honest. Tell them that all is fine but you have run into a temporary problem. Ask them if you can simly miss a payment. They may well agree. If you are up front enough they will work with you a bit.

Call your mortgage provider imeditalely. If you have a good payment record they will wait for a couple of days. Whatever you agree with them, confirm it in writing and stick to it. It will be alright, I had such a problem years ago and it doesn't even appear on my record with the building society.

Glad you are sorted and have paid now it appears that some people have not realised that you have now paid, I see that your credit card is now the issue, at least you have not been charged a missed payment or failed direct debit for the mortgage, this can be quite expensive and I can't see that anyone has mentioned this, I think £7 of interest is much better than your alternative. Well done for sorting it out anyway and good luck dealing with the credit card.
