Same here fuddle, nonstop bloody rain for two solid days and nights. Think we to get dry over weekend but still cold - and then next week ITS TO WARM UP! Not getting too excited - it wont have to try very hard cos its 7C here today
Ginny I enjoyed the gloop story. Bad me
Bobbykins tyty.
RV just spent 3 hours trying to get the big pc to work in the back room and it wont. Even when you forget wireless and plug in an ethernet cable, it cant get a signal. Got us beat.
Does anybody know what Spain is going to do next - or Greece ? Kittie are you in here? Does it meant that we should buy stuff in euros now or the opposite?
I did something mad when I had flu. I got an asda home delivery with two packs of liver and madly threw them both in the freezer unopened. This means that when I defrost it, we will have to eat the whole lot within a couple of days. Any ideas on what to do with it?0 -
Warmth? Wahoooo! Even if it's just in double figures would be nice.
When I connected our old pc up with the ethernet I had to install the router software and that found the router for us to connect to. I'm no techie mind.
Embarrassingly I don't have a clue what is happening with the eurozone. Is everything still speculation about what might happen or has something happened?0 -
Mardatha, try chopping some of the liver and mixing it with chopped onions and pork mince plus a beaten egg and breadcrumbs to bind to make meatballs. Fry them off and you should be able to stick them back in the freezer and serve them later on with a tomato sauce. You could also make some pate to have on toast and you could also freeze that - good for when you don't feel up to cooking but still need something nourishingIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0

meant to say, Kittie is posting on the no T word thread. She's got a bad feeling about Greece and is ramping up the food storageIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0

Mardatha - remember that you will be able to refreeze the liver once it has been cooked so make what you normally would - liver and onions perhaps, then eat half and freeze half. Would also mean you had the main part of a meal ready made when you're not up to cooking much.

Yep I agree with all of you how cold and miserable its been this week, I pop the GCH on when and if its cold, I dont really want to be lighting the open fire this time of year cos im trying to now start saving for the winter coal..........Just had 4 hundred weight come in at summer prices which helps to store now, also got quite a few logs sawed up and covered ready for the winter too..............I hate lighting my open fire after May 1st, it just dont seem right, so I make do with with the central heating................At this rate its going to be a very short summer , we are soon to be in the 6 month of the year and no nice sunny weather.............Plus my gas and electric are well in credit..................
I didnt get my plants in the ground today so I must crack on saturday, it has been quite nice today dry and bit of cloud, but the wind had a bite in it, so I wore I rain mac just to keep the wind out........................But did get all the washing dry outside..............Hope your all bearing up pkay, got Gardeners World on tonight so as usual I will be tuned in ........0 -
THE WEATHER FORECAST!
"By the middle of next week much of the UK is likely to be dry with some sunshine, although eastern and southeastern areas may well be cloudy with outbreaks of rain at first. These mainly settled conditions seem likely to continue for the rest of May and into the start of June with a good deal of dry sunny weather likely. There are some indications that cloud and rain could spread into some western and southwestern areas towards the end of the month though. Temperatures look likely to be above average or warm in most places, and may become very warm locally. Eastern coasts may remain relatively cool though where easterly or northeasterly winds persist.";):D

I am so thick - I didnt realise I could freeze it cooked too. arghhh. TY!
If kitties worried then I'm terrified lol0 -
My dad was broad Fife and he called sparrows "speugs" as in sp-yugs. Owls were hoolits, a thrush was a mavis.
We have a second day of nonstop horrible rain and the RV & I are considering a lovers suicide pact ..Wow, these regional names are fascinating. I'm in a region, too, but I've only ever heard sparrows callled.....errr.....sparrows.
I'm using a wireless router but not as wireless IYSWIM. Windows "recognised" the card when my pet computer wizard installed it and found the right software from inside itself (umm, this is probably the simpleton's version) and installed it automatically. Then I plugged the ethernet cable into the card port and into the router and it all somehow came good. Those nice folks in Yorkshire should be able to help..........
Embarrassingly I don't have a clue what is happening with the eurozone. Is everything still speculation about what might happen or has something happened?I'm not sure that anyone knows what the blue blazes is going on so it's no wonder us lay people are scratching their heads. I shall mooch over to read what Kittie's saying on the other thread as she always talks sense, IMO. Probably not a good idea to have money in Spanish banks, anyroad. I sold my Euros last autumn and converted the proceeds into tinned foods.
I went to the shopping centre after w*rk and it was swarming with ARMED police. Awesome! The drama was coming to an end and most of the officers were standing around on the carpark chatting idly. A pair of numpties ahead of me (you know the type, a few too many gallons of White Lightning..) wambled over to the officers and excitedly demanded to know if they'd shot anyone? I was close enough to hear the officer's deadpan reply; "Not lately." :rotfl:
Made me laugh, anyway. Honestly, this sleepy little city of mine is getting a bit too melodramatic for my liking. I preferred it back in the day when we all wore smocks (circa 1973) and had grass in our hair and pretended we couldn't understand those fast-talking sophisticates from Lunnon Town.
OK, think my veggies must be cooked now. Laters, GQ xEvery increased possession loads us with a new weariness.
