I doubt he gave the likes of you any of his time.0 -
I don't know what has happened to GB.
And, to be frank, I care even less. He is part of our past, not our future.0 -
Was anything done ?
He was Chancellor of the Exchequer and then PM during one if the most turbulent economic periods in recent history, now he is simply a constituency MP with time to follow up on his 'to do' list, maybe he asked Phil Woolas to have a lookwho knows?

I'm no fan of Labour, be it under Brown or Blair, as I found their social policies to be deeply illiberal.
Economically however, the Tories would have done almost nothing differently.
They wanted even less bank regulation than we got, and promised to match Labour's spending prior to the credit crunch!!!“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

I give far more credit to badger than Brown. Allistair was a very good chancellor imho, staving off political issues and power plays at the same time as a financial mess.0
