Waiting for JSA confirmation

does anyone know roughly how long it takes to get confirmation of whether your application to claim JSA has been accepted?
on the first of the month I applied online. 11th of the month I went to an appiontment at my local JCP, and then had to fill out a paper application because they couldn't access all of my online application.
the girl dealing with me said usually i will be confirmation in the post within 5 days, but its been 2 weeks today since that appointment.
whilst i was there, they also booked in on the 9th december to sign on and to speak to someone about job searching and cv's and things like that.

Hello,
When you apple it usually takes 5 - 10 working days to get a response. If they made you apply on paper as your online account couldnt be accessed you may have to wait a few extra days for the paper work to be processed. But as it's been 2 weeks since you filled the form in, I would contact them and ask about the progress of your application.
Hope this helps

thanks
i did think it may take a few extra days because of doing the paper application.
i'll wait and see what the postman brings today, and if there's nothing for JSA, then i'll give them a bell later0 -
I got a letter in the post today saying its accepted, payments from 1st november
but it does not mention when i will be getting paid, it only says i get paid every 2 weeks
i know that i don't get money for the first 3 days, but does anyone know how the system works, i.e when i would expect the money?
like i said above, i had the appointment at jcp on the 11th nov, 2 weeks later (today) i get a letter accepting the claim, and also have an appointment in 2 weeks time to sign on and see someone else about searches and cvs
thanks0
