Just wondering if there are any customers of Solarsun4life out there, who could give feedback/share experiences?
Many thanks,

Hi Barter.
Do you mean these guys solarsun4lifeuk.co.uk ?
Let me declare an interest there first, I independently look after their website & optimisation so I guess you'll have to factor that into the value of this recommendation.
I get a copy of all correspondence coming through the website & I've seen only two problems crop up in the last 8 months. Both were electrical circuit issues and both were quite simple to resolve and fixed immediately.
I know this because, being very aware of the ability for consumers to review companies on the web, anytime I see an issue with a client I'm on the phone to them hammering home the importance of immediate customer satisfaction. Frankly, they don't need me to ring but I do it anyway, I'm quite proud of the rankings I get for clients & I don't want them spoiling.
I also know that if you request it, they are happy to give you a list of previous clients you can call for their comments 'straight from the horses mouth' as it were.
Hope this helps a bit.

Prices ever lower!
It would help if they updated their website for the new FIT rates.
Yes..thanks... it will be over the next week or so.
I have many new / amended pages to go online once :
1/ The consultation recommendations are confirmed along with the EPC requirements ( as of yesterday we have a “high level of certainty” for the F-I-T only )
2/ Now that the pre deadline installations are complete ( and as you can imagine, all resources were thrown in over the last month or so to making sure all customer requirements were met ) , they are re-negotiating prices ( which have reduced globally ) to get the right package for future customers.
So yes, the required updates will be online very shortly.

I had an installation done by SolarSun4Life UK (http://www.solarsun4lifeuk.co.uk/index.php) in February 2012 & I am posting this to record my negative feedback & warn others to avoid this company.
I am doing this as they still have not completed the contract (I am waiting for the bluetooth monitor) over 3 months after the initial installation & they consistently blame their supplier. I will post an update when (if) I receive the monitor.
After they had signed me up they informed me that they could not supply the panels initially specified before the March 2nd deadline. I therefore had to accept different panels.
They failed to turn up on several pre booked dates for the install without any courtesy calls to inform me. I had to do all the chasing. When they did finally do the install it was done on three separate non consecutive days (prep roof & electrics 1st visit, install panels 2nd visit, commission on 3rd visit). When they left on the final visit they just walked away; no tidying up & no goodbye. I wasn't even aware they had finished.
Unless you are the type of person that likes to be messed about by a company so you can negotiate a discount before settlement payment (I know people who do), I recommend you avoid this company.0 -

Are you still associated with them, and if so, have there been any further problems you're aware of?0 -
I'm afraid I,ve had an even worse time than Debtfree.
I had a system installed in Dec, didn't get the panels or smart meter, the installation was untidy & only got 2.5 Kw instead of 3 Kw. i'ts only ever produced about 1 Kw on a brilliant day. I just seem unable to get them to sort it. I'm wondering if I could get it removed (in the contract if they mean it ) & start again with a different company, withouyt losing the top tarriff.0 -
They turned up four days late. They fitted a 3KW system instead of 4KW, they falsified the MCS certificate. They hardwired the PV strings into the inverter;should have been through a DC isolator switch. I complained the system was under preforming, an electrician turned up rectified a number of issues and took the system of line (dispute between sub-contractors!) and we were left with no generation for 3 months. I registered a complaint with NICEIC who are dealing with them. To date they have not supplied any of the mandatory documentation and have mislead NICEIC. James Kahn agreed to come and see me last week, I took the day off work but he didn't show up. No phone call to apologise, I was told he was wielding in the double glazing factory he is a director of! The have compromised every part of the REAL consumer code, Lorraine Wales and Steve Suiter will promise you anything on the phone, this never transpires into actions. I fully expect to engage in legal action with the company.0

Hi
I am collecting information about solarsun4life on behalf of some of its creditors. I would appreciate any information any of your members have on this company.
The company traded from the same location as "Alwoodley Windows and Doors Limited", according to the MCS registration the same phone number too. Stephen Souter was the Director of this company and also did the ordering and made payments for SolarSun4Life, although he now claims he just helped out at SS4L and cannot recall who ran/owned it. James Kahn was the director of "Alwoodley Windows and Doors Limited" until Nov 2009, he is disqualified from being a director until 2017. Now "Alwoodley Windows and Doors Limited" have been forced info liquidation but "Alwoodley Windows Green Deal" are now trading using the same premises phone numbers and web address. The phone number from the solarsun4life website is now being used by thegreendealwarehouse.co.uk also at the same address using the same sample installations.
Cristaki :- If James Kahn was acting as a director in 2012 he was acting criminally. Did you end up taking SolarSun4Life to court?
Has anyone got any information from invoices etc as to their VAT number Owners Details Etc ?0 -
Stephen Souter appeared in the Yorkshire Evening post 5th August 2008 charged with drug dealing, the article is available if you look online.
He also shows up as a director of Alwoodley windows and doors limited on the company check website.
There are links to other various companies.
Gives you an idea who your dealing with.0
