Currently off sick and having problems with my pay.
HR passed me to Finance who passed me to HR.
I spoke with my line manager and asked if she could try and help, who emailed me to say she has to forward it to our head office and someone would be in touch with me.
No reply as yet.
Should I wait until a week has gone? My Line Manager sent it Monday this week.

Get on the phone rather than just sending emails, or relying on your manager.
Can you not get a number for payroll and call them directly?0 -

Yes I phoned last Friday and spoke to HR, who told me it was nothing to do with them and gave a number for Finance. Who said it wasn't them and gave me a different number for HR, who then gave me the same number for Finance as I'd previously called.
Called my Line Manager on Monday and asked if she would be able to help, she said leave it with her. Emailed me to say she has sent my queries to Head Office and I'd hear back from them directly.
I just didn't want to call HR or Finance again with calling them loads already, if people were of the opinion to wait at least a week.Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -
I guess it depends how serious the problem is. If I hadn't been paid, full stop, I'd be on the phone to HR AND finance, three times a day, asking for updates, until the problem was sorted. If it's something that can't be amended until next months pay date anyway, I'd give them a week and then start chasing it up again.0

Thanks for that, I'll wait until Monday and call again. I thought a week was reasonable, but always good to get a 2nd opinion.Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -
It is coming up to 2 weeks now since I queried my pay and other things at work.
Despite numerous calls to my Line Manager who I asked the original questions to, I still don't have a reply.
My Line Manager won't tell me who she has forwarded the email to at Head Quarters, as she say various departments are involved and it would then complicate matters if I got involved.
Is there anything else I can do in the meantime?
Queries I've raised are:
1) I'm on sick leave due to an injury at work, they have now put me on half pay, however they put me on half pay too early. So i've queried the dates.
2) At the time I asked it to be entered onto our accident record, but my Line Manager said it didn't need to be, I've now asked for it retrospectively to be recorded.
3) I've asked if there is any way the company can give an advance in salary to be paid back when I return to work.
Can anyone recommend another person to contact, given that my Line Manager did say on Tuesday that I should have an answer soon. It will be 2 weeks Monday coming, should I wait until then?Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -
If it's an injury at work, it should also be reported to DWP as such. Don't take no for an answer when management won't put it in accident book. I'm pretty sure they are required to by law.
I had an accident at work 4 years ago, and got the same story from my manager, oh we'll do it tomorrow, then my knee was so swollen I couldn't work for 3 days. He then said it was too late to put it in accident book.
I'm now in agony daily with arthritis in my knee, mainly due to the accident. Of course there's no record of it in my old place of work. The only thing that went in my favour was that it showed on my sick record that I had 3 days off sick with a knee injury and that the manager hadn't followed procedure.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -

I'm really sorry to hear that, and to be in pain 4 years later? I bet at times you could scream!
I asked my Line Manager in front of the other staff so I do have other people who can say she said no. However as I'm currently off work I'm a bit stuck.
Its just frustrating as I've spoken to HR and Finance and neither want to be involved and my Line Manager seems to be dithering too. I do back all calls etc up with an email so I have a trace of what's been said, but it still doesn't help me.
Good luck in the future and I hope it eases off at times.Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -
According to our HR (I was a postie, hence the damage to my knees) my manager shouldn't only have recorded the accident but also advised me to contact DWP so that the accident was also recorded by them. As stated, the lazy !!!!!! done nothing. All I can advise is to keep on at them to get it recorded. If it's caused more than 3 days off it should also be recorded somewhere else too, RIDDOR I think it's called, and is to do with the Health and Safety Executive4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0

Thanks for that. I've just had the longest call ever with my boss whilst she filled out a Personal Injury Whilst at Work Form. She is now sending over our Caretaker with the forms for me to sign.
Current been signed off for a further 4 weeks today (so that will be 12 in total) so will look at the other form you mentioned.
Many thanks for your help.Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -
Do a quick google search for RIDDOR and Accidents at Work HSE. Pretty sure that will give u all the info required. Congrats on winning round 1 of getting it recorded
