IF it goes to a CCJ its 6 years.
However i would rather mine go to a debt collecting agency and arrange a payment structure with them than to deal with Welcome
Sorry just when you feel you've been ripped off its not a good feeling - they take advantage of people when they are desperate situation - but i guess we learn from our mistakes0 -
the thing is they accepted the car back and then they pushed it into the car park and the council ended up scrapping it. this was 2YEARS AGO and i havent heard anything since????????????? and i also have just obtained a mortgage from northern rock so my credit rating cant of been that bad.0

So far, Yes will only have told you that you have been accepted as a CUSTOMER, not for a loan, and the £50 is darn hard to get back off them, so beware. Read the leter again, they are crafty!!0

I went through the application process with Welcome and when I received my loan agreement to sign I was paying approximately 43% APR. These people are having a laugh. Finally went with Black Horse and even though my credi isn't fabuous, they gave me an APR of 11.3%. A big difference. Welcome keep hassling me costantly with phone calls and mail. They's a right pain in the butt!0

my hubby's nephew has just applied for a £3000 loan from YES loans. I have tried explaining to him that he is not guaranteed a loan and that yes loans are not a loan company but he doesn't believe me. He has already sent them his £49.50 away to them and is convinced he is going to get £3000 in his bank account soon. The thing is he does agency work - a day here, a day there so no guaranteed income. He is only 24 and so far in the last 6 months has managed to aquire a £1000 overdraft (which he has spent), 3 mobile phone contract (none of which have been paid), a catalogue (£500 unpaid so far) and god knows what else.
I will still try to explain to him not to expect too much from the application as we have been there ourselves and got nothing at the end except being £49.50 out of pocket.Dream as if you'll live forever - live as if you'll die today0
