There was a thread on the families board a few months back about how often people wear their clothes before washing them - and an astoundingly large number of people said that they change every stitch of their clothing every day. Such people will wear out their clothes much more quickly and so will need replacements more often.
As for me, I buy two skirts and a few shirts each year, along with a few packs of knickers, for work, and that's about it.I think....0 -

Yes I can believe that. On a serious note, it shows just why we have Chrstmas rammed down our throats for 2 months every year. Without Chrstmas most companies would cease to exist. The fact that Western society is dependent on its inhabitants giving each other crap gifts one day a year says it all about Capitalism.0 -

Christmas seems to be starting late this year.
I don't recall the BRC's annual December message that this will be the worst one ever for retailers (followed by the January message that, contrary to expectations, it turned out to be the best ever - again).
It must be due any day now - there was a chap on BBC Wake up to Money this morning saying how retailers would be struggling to pay their rent in the new year and pondering who would be this years 'Woolworths'.0 -
