Need a bit of advice on best way to sort out my debt.

Hi guys,

Im a 20 year old guy (ex student) and have managed to run up a £2000 overdraft and £500 credit card all with lloyds tsb, was just looking for a bit of advice on the best ways to be able to start paying all this off as its stressing me out. I have a good credit rating but have a low income at the moment having being let go from my old job. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Kind regards

  • Good morning,

the best way to start would be to post a statement of affairs (SOA) so that we can see your incomings/outgoings. That way, people can give detailed advice about how best to tackle paying off your debts.

You can use this calculator: http://www.makesenseofcards.com/soacalc.html

Remember to be realistic about what you spend in each area, and choose 'format for MSE' to post in the thread (you might have to delete the link at the bottom for it to work)
    Savings target: £25000/£25000
