hi, i declared myself bankrupt in 2008
i apply for a job but they say i will need to pass credit check, having been bankrupt am i certain to fail? the position is not for accounts or mortgages or director of any company. low level position but requires this credit check.

I've noticed more and more people saying they need a credit check for work, it seems to be the 'thing' nowadays.
The BR will most likely show up but whether they reject your application or not is up to them. I know someone on here explained the reasons behind the BR to his prospective employers and they took him on.
As an aside can I ask if you have cleaned up your credit files since discharge.
