  • Well I've not really posted for a bit. I have taken a bit of a backward track with this challenge.

I am going to stay with my Dad in Australia for 6 weeks in March. My plan was to save £2000 spending money so I didn't incur any further debt to fund this trip. I had managed to save £520.

Most of my time there will be spent with my Dad but I am travelling around a bit, mostly to see other family members. This requires me to take 6 internal flights while I am there, so rather than run up my credit card again, I used the £520 I had saved and a bit extra to pay for the flights.

This means I am back to square one and must start again at £0/£2000. I will have to work hard now to raise this as it is my spending money an I don't want to ever again use credit cards.

I have though done an extra 40 hours overtime in work this month which will be in Januarys pay, which hopefully will help.

  • Well onto £2000 in 100 day challange VII part 2. Well today I managed to salvage £30 from my weekly shopping money by taking advantage of bargains and buying lower priced brands. This takes my total for this challange to £30/£2000.
