Rossendales collect

Help please anyone,
My wife has just had a letter from Rossendales Collect demanding £2374 for a credit card debt . This debt has been bouncing around various DCA's for a couple of years now as none of them would admit to owning the debt , now Rossendales collect want full payment.
We have offered them £2 a month as we are paying off various other debts and don't have the spare cash for them.
They have said that we should send in a full financial statement as this is the only way they will accept this offer.
I told them that they had no right to this information but they insisted and said that they will take this further and will send a doorstep collector and told me not to be rude when I said that they can't send anyone to my house without an appointment......
What should we do now ....?

Send them the information, AFAIK they do not have to accept any offer of repayment, certainly not £2 per month. Im sure if they went to court and got a CCJ against her the court would ask for more than £2 per month. However, if you send them the information and they see you have no spare cash, and have no assets worth ceasing, they may just write it off.If you keep on doing what's you've always done, you'll keep on being what you've always been...:think:0

Ok, firstly, only a court can order to see your financial details. Secondly IF it did go to ccj (it may, but it also may not) a court would ONLY accept an amount that you can afford.
Try not to stress - do not speak to them on the phone - ever - only communicate by writing. Explain to them your situation & why you can only afford £2 per month (perhaps add that you hope to inc this amount in 6 mnths time).
Good luck & ask again if you need help0 -
If no-one is admitting to owning the debt, I'd be sending them the prove it letter, along with a CCA request.Happiness, is a Kebab called Doner.....:heart2::heart2:0
