possible ridiculous qu....

ummm...ive been trying to sort out my budget for so long my brain is fried so please excuse if this is a really stupid question.....
Ive done my incomings/outgoings on excel and ive done the figures like this 20quid a week child benefit = 80quid a month...but ive just been looking on national debt helpline and they do it calender monthly or whatever its called so £20 x 52 weeks divide by 12 which would mean it would be £86 a month CB.....which is fair enough but do i have to work out my expenditure in this way aswel? im so confused i feel like a right dum a** lol :embarasse:embarasse:embarasse

    It not a stupid question.

you can either budget it at the £80 a week and then on the month that you have extra put it on debts or savings or the one of yearly payments like car tax etc.

or i have a budget for each month of the year and what i do is the month that i have two payments i just incorporate it into that months budget

i dislike doing it by averaging out per month as i see it as an unrealistic income per month. i get about 467 every 4 weeks but if i average it out monthly it works out as just under £506. i feel that if i budget to the lower amount then the month i get two is a bonus otherwise if i base it on average my income is £39 lower each month than the budget
