Budgeting/statement of affairs for debts....help

Hi, just a small question. When doing incoming and outgoing sheets to show how much you can repay...what exactly would be seen as non essential in my outgoings...like cigarettes, haircuts, clothes for my child, playgroups etc, will companies think this is money that could be spent on my debts and force me to repay more? thanks.

    Hi

Might be worth running through the CCCS debt remedy tool online as I think it gives recommdations for some of those figures based on the family size.
Other than that its okay to lowish amounts for things like haircuts & kids activities, even in bankruptcy there is an allowance of something like £10/m for each adult's hair and £5/m for kids, and something for kids activites as well - might be £20/m?
I'm not sure about including cigs as a seperate line - I'd be tempted to either add it to groceries (if you are not already spending overly high in that area, or maybe entertainment).
A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who give

  • Ok thankyou, i have literally just finished doing the debt remedy thing must of read your mind!
