Flexible Working - with Kiddies at home?!?

Hiya, She's a medical Secretary.
The problem she has is being able to afford childcare (like everyone in the same posistion!!!). It's tight enough for them as it is, so childcare costs aren't really an option (not full-time anyway), but nor is part-time hours!
I do sympathise with her, but worry that she's banking on them letting her work from home, whilst looking after little one.Follower of 'The Harcombe Diet'.0 -

I have to be very very clear on this. I sympathise. I know it's hard to make ends meet. I know childcare is expensive. That is no excuse. No matter whether the employer thinks to mention it or not, if they agree to her working at home it is in no way, shape, or form, an agreement for her to do her own childcare at the same time. If she is caught she stands in peril of having a lot less money - like no money. And a dismissal on her record. And possibly social services involved too. Those are not options to toy with. She cannot and must not attempt to look after her child whilst also working. If she cannot afford childcare and nor can she afford part-time working, then she must choose one of them, the lesser "evil" - there is not a third option.0
