Tub of celebrations at Tesco £4 with voucher

Went to Tesco this morning and pick up celebrations for £4. There was a lady giving out price drop leaflets at the front of the store with a one pound off voucher inside. They are on offer for £5 until 05/12.

  • i was given a leaflet with the vouchers in too (only went in for a loaf of bread) so off i marched to grab my chocs and various other bits that had money off with the vouchers, got to the till and SA wouldn't accept them!

Tiny small print states starts 1st dec! Thought this was well underhand of them to be handing them out today when they are not even valid. Thanks mr T for conning me out of more pennies yet again (was too embarrassed to put everything back but left celebrations!)

thanks OP for posting but just be aware of dates of use
  • The supermarkets are just sooo greedy and i dont blame anyone for monpolising at their expense. Shame that this happened to you maggiemay2582!
My husband is a truck driver and there was no work in general haulage due to escalating prices and a shafted uk economy, so he has had to turn to supermarket work. And guess what theres tons of work. says it all !!! the supermarkets have it all their way yet again.

If the first poster managed to use the £1 coupon, they must be scanning okay already.

Get your £1.00 coupon and tub of celebrations and go through the self service till. The till cannot read dates, only bar codes.

This amount will not call for authorisation - the only problem is is the bar code is not valid yet, and as one poster has used one, they must be already working. HTH

Mine was rejected and I'm sure she tried swiping it - I told her I'd leave the Celebrations as I was only buying them because of the voucher.

And the chances of Mr T increasing the price of the box from 1st Dec is what? Place your bets, ladies and gentlemen....:D

Don't know if this has already been done (if it has sorry). There is £1 off coupon in the Tesco Price Drop magazine for a tin of celebrations. They are £5 til 5th Dec (I think), voucher is valid from 1st Dec so that makes them £4. Bargain me thinks.... will they last til Xmas?? Doubt it in our house!

Oops, already been done - sorry!!!

Grr, just been into T and noticed the inevitable price hike - stuff the offer was due to be on until the 5th!. They are now £10 each so don't be in a rush to get those vouchers out tomorrow!

i was not able to use mine ( admitatly it was on saturday! ) either so not sure how or if op managed it.

as the price will be £10 are they going back to BOGOF they could not afford to loose that much in price match against asda,
    mind you

if you were to use a voucher from Tomorrow against 1 that sould price match asda from the £10 as the matching does not normally take into account any voucher
so technically getting for £4 unless your other shopping is less of course
but why bother with all that hassle for £1
  • Are Tesco's really so stupid to think people will pay £10 (don't bother I already know). Im off to sainsburys they are selling them for £3.99.

Just bumping this as they are now on offer at £5 and £4 with the coupon in the magazine.
