They say you don't get something for nothing. In this instance, I'd say you'd get nothing for a lot. These guys keep pestering me but they have the air of a salesmen in gran canaria trying to rope me into a time share system, no chance!! Snake oil salesmen!!!

I met them today and I was very disappointed, I honestly didn't do much research on them and I found this thread only after the meeting.

My alarms bells went off when they contacted me on the phone but I thought about giving a shot.

They left 4 voice mails over the space of 2 weeks, exactly the same words on each message. When I called them back I always ended up leaving a VM messages which was then ignored by PCS.

The PCS voice mails were very scripted and therefore didn't sound 'genuine' or 'professional' but I thought I give them a second chance so went ahead with the meeting.

We met in their London office, the look & feel was for one of those temporary meeting places that you rent by the day.

The receptionist contacted the PCS consultant but I was left waiting for over 30 minutes - the PCS consultant didn't think about contact me by phone to see where I was and later blamed the receptionist (second alarm bell).

They asked if I had a copy of my latest resume, the consultant didn't have a copy (!!!!!!? Is this 1997? - third very loud alarm bell)

As soon as we sat, she mentioned about meeting at least twice and the fact that they don't interface with employers they just provide 'advice'. I asked if there was a fee, the answer receiced was very vague so I simply said goodbye and walked away.

Wasted 2 hrs and £5.20 on Oyster travel.

LOL If you're concerned about spending £5.20, you shouldn't even think about using professional retail career support (which probably would cost £2-3k).

I am not thinking about using a professional retail career support, when they contacted me it was sold as recruiter.

If I knew what they were selling I would have saved 2hrs and £

There appears to be a misunderstanding in this thread as to what we, as a company, do. Career Management consultancy is a specialist area and should not be confused with traditional recruitment. We have helped thousands of clients over many years to achieve a successful career transition and are very proud of our track record in this area. I am happy to speak to anyone who wishes to clarify or discuss any perceived issues about either our company or our services. Please feel free to contact me on 0113 2052851 or a.greenley@p-c-s.uk.com. Thank you, Abigail Greenley, Operations Director[/B]
