Hi all,
New to the forum and read in another post about Good Energy opening their doors on the final weekend for the higher FIT payments and was wondering has anyone use them in the past for their FIT's.
Any opinions on them greatly appreciated.

Yes I use them, I installed my PV system in June 2011.
I sent all the application details by email. I got an acknowledgement email the next day, and written confirmation that the scheme was fully registered within about 2-3 weeks. They will need proof of ownership (not just the MCS certificate) so make sure you get an invoice or some other written confirmation from the installer.
I submitted the first reading in September. It's just been paid in the last couple of weeks (direct into bank). This is slower than some other providers (according to forum posts). I think this is because as a small company they have to wait until they receive the funds (from Ofgem??) before they can afford to pay the householder, unlike a large general utility company.
Whenever I have needed to contact them they have replied in a reasonable time.
Personally, I wanted to support a specialist renewable energy company who is genuinely interested in solar PV, rather than a large utility company who is being begrudgingly forced to administer the scheme by the government. Looking at the forum posts about npower's problems with FIT applications, I don't regret my decision. We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.

yes. A good company with a human face. We have had 4 FIT payments from them so far and also use them for our electricity, we don`t have a gas supply. A little more expensive but no electricity cost rise this year, far less complicated than the big ( foreign) operators and using fully renewable energy only. Any e mails are responded to politely and within a couple of days0

Don't forget there are other "Green" suppliers around too. We've been with Ecotricity as our supplier for several years with no complaints and have just signed up with them for our FiTs. See http://www.ecotricity.co.uk/
Also this table is quite interesting, and doesn't show Good Energy in a particularly favourable light. (But then it's been compiled by Ecotricity, so there may be a conflict of interest there))"The trouble with quotations on the Internet is that you never know whether they are genuine" - Charles Dickens0 -

So, according to that measure of comparison, a not for profit organisation which only purchased energy from renewable sources and sold this to their customers at cost and at a price which was more than competitive with other suppliers would not score at all due to no investing in their own supply capacity and would therefore be relegated to the lowest band, whereas a high margin multi-national company with a 100% coal burning supply source who really ripped off their customers with higher than necessary energy costs would score better as long as they diverted a small proportion of their income to investment in 'green' technologies, even if was only to be research based ?
.... why do I tend to be so sceptical of statistics which are used as a marketing tool ? ....
