Thursday 24th November - What Small DFW Things Will You Do Today?!
Pernicious
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D
Morning all,
Hope you are all well on this chilly morning, I could really do without the cold dark mornings as it's not helping me get out of bed! Cannot wait for a lie in this weekend
Today's plan:-

G'morning, Pernie! nice to see the thread up early as it was in the olden days. Your post yesterday made me giggle - this is a small town, if there were another muzungu lady on a bike we would know! The new roommate (unfortunately only staying two months or so) also rides, which hopefully will make me less of a lets pull her over to ask for a bribe every hour novelty....
Had a really fantastic vegetarian Thanksgiving dinner last night with some yank friends. Crumble was a big hit, as always. I also baked this cake for another Thanksgiving dinner tonight: http://www.travelerslunchbox.com/journal/2005/5/2/rationalizations-of-a-chocoholic.html , which is incredible and I haven't made in Kampala yet, though it was a regular feature in London. Wasn't cheap though - decent dark chocolate is pricey here!
Anyway for today:- breakfast at home (leftover crumble, health nut me
) - drove to work in the rain... weeeee!
- lunch provided by work
- making (another!) crumble tonight
- work out a safe way to transport the cake
- eat massive amounts at potluck thanksgiving dinner :T
- make a CC payment
- chase housing refund
- catch up with mum by BBN or skype
- work work work
Happy thursday / thanksgiving, all!!Mortgage free by 30:eek:: £28,000/£100,000

Going through the junk in my house and finding things to sell!! Desperately need to make some money quickly for Christmas.
I've already sold some of my old clothes on eBay and some old books to We Buy Books.co.uk so I'm going up to the attic later to see if I can come across anymore treasures/relics! :rotfl:0
