Face cream/serum for very dry & delicate skin?

I'd like to give my mum some face cream for this Christmas, she's 74 and has very dry & delicate skin, she's had some bad reacions lately with brands that she has used in the past, so I need to be careful.

Anyone can recommend a good product?

I use Lancome Nutrix (not Nutrix Royale). It is horribly expensive but the only thing I have found that helps my exceptionally dry, sensitive & eczema prone skin. I know it may ruin the surprise but you really need her to try a few testers to make sure she is not allergic to what you buy. That said most of the big retailers (Boots, Debenhams, HoF, etc.) are good at taking products back if you react to them.

Garnier Soft if suitable for dry and sensitive skin, and it has a lovely smell of roses. I love it!
(and it works, as my DD has sensitive dry skin, and uses this).
Superdrugs have a special offer on, 2 for £3.99, great value for money.
