NHS ID and discounts

Can anyone please advise...

I can whip out my NHS ID in Nando's (dining) for a 20% discount and thats all I know...

Are there any other shops/stores where you can present your ID upon transaction for a discount?

I can't seem to find a comprehensive list anywhere...

I read somewhere that PC World was 35% off... and if so then I am not a happy bunny as I brought a TV from there last month.

is the nhs discounts website actually a legitimate site? it seems a tad odd :S

NHS Discounts is a legit website. I'm an NHS employee and have been registered with it for about 6 or so years.

You used to have to provide your NHS Staff number to register but I don't know if this is still the case.

as far as i know, you have to have an nhs registered email address to get the discounts. I never use it as i find that all the stuff i get on there i can get way cheaper without using the sites they recommend: eg. the apple store still offers nhs discount but now they only show comet?

im also nhs staff & this is the website i use too .. or u could always ask wherever u go if they do nhs discount! new look is on the list & you used to have 10% off instore but new look no longer accept nhs disount cards

PC world is about 7% off .. but from past experience not everywhere will take your nhs card and take discount off if store (not many places know that your entitled to the disount. if you go on the nhs discount website you can purcase vouchers at discounted price 2 use in store) all the info u need is on the website

For shops/restaurants local to you it may be worth just asking...i recently discovered that the Indian restaurant that we've been going to for years offers NHS staff a 20% discount....only found out when lady at the next table asked for it using her staff pass.

Also have you checked any notice boards where you work?..our hospital has a board outside the dining room showing local places that offer discounts.
