I am very happy today.

As some of you know, I have been constantly complaining about how crap my wages are and how I felt I deserved more based on my experience and technical ability especially when compared to the current job market rate.

Well last month, I applied for 2 jobs > got 2 interviews > was short-listed for a 2nd stage for both positions.....and just got told that both companies want me! Woooohoooo!

I've carefully chosen the one applicable to me and I promise it had nothing to do with a £12K pay rise ontop of what I currently earn. The new salary actually goes well over what I thought I was worth. God is great!

Thank you all for your advice and time. God willing you will not be hearing any rants from me in future.

well done!!! yikes - a 12k pay rise! what do you do exactly? i'm sure you're worth every penny, you must be so chuffed!
  • Well done! :T
  • Thank you kind people.

I work in the technology industry and whilst being employed at my current placement (2.5 years), I have passed 8 professional certifications for which I got NADDA for. I am just happy that somebody else has believed in my ability has taken me on at a rate beyond what I had hoped for.

For anyone in a similar position - if you know you are worth more and have a reasonable feeling that your company will not invest the right amount in you, move onwards and upwards to someone that will - there are plenty that will, you just have to find them or allow them to find you.

Both roles I applied for were handled through agencies and the procedure was pretty top notch.

Brilliant news! This sort of applies to me (trained, got qualification and now want onwards and upwards. I just need to get off my posterior and apply for jobs.

Pleased you got a good outcome. Great to know you're wanted by both companies too!

Hope all goes well with your new start. :)
