Further bad news for the UK economy?

Articles just out from the BBC highlight that the BoE believes that the UK economy is in for an even rougher ride than predicted.
Figures from the BoE state that the UK economy will now only grow 1% in 2011-2012.
However looking at these figures surely one has to be optimistic if the BoE still believes that we can achieve any growth at all during these tough economic conditions.
Personally I think it will be a miracle if the UK economy achieves any growth at all in 2012. So if it does fair play to Georgie Osbourne, Mervyn and the rest of the gang.
