I have not noticed any increased sales where I live, Stands to reason though areas will see pockets of sales as the first sale starts a chain in the local area.
So one FTB house (or down sizer) may spark off a number of sales.

I'm not sure why that Devon chap has got his knickers in a twist about my little bit of anecdotal.

We know sales in Devon have been zero for years now (no-one can afford them you see) so some areas need to make up the slack.

It's big numbers too -I reckon I've seen 10 houses sold within my immediate area in the last couple of months compared with 3 or 4 in the previous 6 months.

That still leaves 35,290 mortgages for other areas of the UK:)

Well, you can add another 25 houses to that number in the area I am looking to buy .... in the last month.

I've never considered myself a bear or a bull - just a realist.

It is becoming clear to me that I am one of the few who are speaking the truth.

    Because its anecdotal and positive.
Anecdotal and negative and you're spot on and in tune with the people. It won't get mentioned.
It seems as if the latest MrRee persona/numpty has really got their goat and set the "more negative" members on edge such that anything positive needs to be jumped on.
Anyone posting anything positive simply MUST believe everything is rosy and a boom is on the way just becasue one nutter in on the wind up.

A few sensitive folks around eh?

BTW can't say I've seen an increase but I dont really think any increase of 6% is going to be noticeable is it?

I'm glad I have brought a positive aspect to the boards, I thank you for noting that fact.

I am rather disappointed at the number of negative people getting all upset .... their lives must be so sad.
I mean that genuinely, it must be very difficult juggling the SKY subscription with feeding the children or paying the mobile monthly bill versus a nappy. Choosing between a tattoo or a weeks dinners must be very heartbreaking.

    Is this in the South?

Because houses round here are getting sold off-plan ... like in the heyday.

    You haven't.

You've wound up a few people who are depserate. Gee.... what an achievement.

I don't think anyone finds your taunting funny. It's not done well and it's repetitive.

    I see, there as well.

I wonder if we can draw a line from say, Weymouth to Hull ... everything below that is active?

Above is dead at the moment?
