  • doesn't he get how lecturing people for getting into debt as demanded by his own budget is slightly cheeky?

People arnt getting into debt because of his bedget. There getting in debt because they spend more than they can afford. OK because of Me Cs budget they can afford less than a couple of years back, BUT that means cutting back on what you spend - not increasing what you borrow.

I get low wages, I get poverty, BUT when I see peopl in this position smoking, drinking, tapping on i-phones, listening to ipods, watching TV on big screen TVs - I loose all sympathy.

Somw are in deep doodoo agreed, and are trying to live within their means yet still struggle. Those FEW may have a point - but for most, from people on benefits - to low paid jobs, to average paid jobs etc - whats driving personal debt is buying things you want rather than need - when you dont have the money to fund it without borrowing.
