i need some help if anyone can help
i have been chased for a very large debt on and off for may years and havent really done much about it due to despression etc
anyway i finally got the get and go to sort this out and do some research and found some very dubious information about the company i have been paying this debt too
anyway i sent a letter requesting a true copy of the agreement with a £1 fee as it said on some sites and got a letter back saying they didnt hold that information and found request it from the finance company.
the letter they sent back was dated 19th october 2011 and havent heard anything since - some sites say that if they dont give me the information within 30 days they are committing an offence
what do i do next - should i get onto the office of fair trading etc
any help appreciated

It's not an offence now- but the debt may be unenforceable until they produce the agreement, if this is a Consumer Credit Act debt. What was it, initially?
You say you haven't done much about it, but you have been paying them. Has there ever been a six-year period when you did not pay anything to it?
Is this your only debt?
That'll do for starters.0
