Electronic Payslips

Company I work for have recently introduced e-payslips. I think they are great, you have them emailed and can save them if needed etc. You can also log in to the payroll system with your username and get a history of your payslips and print off any you need.

I was surprised though at the number of people who hate the idea and refuse to use it. I understand some people have never really used computers and don't intend to but surely this is the way forward?

Just interested to hear your views especially if your workplace have them and what the general reaction has been like.

Hate them! One company I worked for had them and my bank (in their infinite wisdom) refused to allow me to withdraw my wages to pay my rent as the wages payment (from one of the larger utility companies) was a 'suspicious payment' and because I had an online payslip rather than a printed one they couldnt accept it...

  • We had them at my last company and I thought they were great. We had pay history at the touch of a button and if we needed hard copies then just printed them off otherwise they were just stored on the system for access at any time.
